- The French Olympic committee released the names of athletes that will compete on the 16th edition of the Mediterranean Games. The Games will be held in Pescara (Italy) from the 26th of June till the 5th of July. One of the main objectives is to reinforce the candidacy of speedskating as an Olympic discipline. Following speedskaters have been selected :
Men : Alexis Contin, Yann Guyader, Thomas Boucher, Adrien Despaux, Julien Despaux, Benjamin Douchin, Ewen Fernandez, Julien Levrard, Maxime Provost, Axel Terrien.
Ladies : Justine Halbout, Laetitia Lebihan, Anne Sophie Petitprez, Lucie Peruzzetto, Marion Kay, Juliette Pouydebat, Carine Talbourdet.
