We couldn't find a better script to close the track races. A spectacular senior men race where the Belgian team (after completely missing the start) closed the gap (50m) to the French team. Let's have a look at the videos tomorrow (available around noon). It was Bart Swings finishing with a lap of 15"76 (47km/h). Congrats to Bart, Ferre and Maarten. This trio are members of the Heverlee Club and member of the Cado Motus team.
In the senior ladies race it was Sabine Berg finishing strong to overtake the Italians. Netherlands won bronze. There will be another party in the Holland House tonight.
Also the Belgian Junior men team had a golden evening. Jore Vandenberghe, Tim Sibiet and Niels Provoost are member of the local club (ZRC). Netherlands took silver, France (who was third at the finish) was disqualified, so Portugal can go to sleep with a bronzen medal.
Also a spectacular start in the junior ladies serie from the Netherlands. Mandy Groot, Manon Kamminga and Irene Schouten deserved to win this race. From start to finish in the lead. Congrats !
In the cadet girls and boys categories wins for the German youngsters. Keeps them in 2nd place in the medal table.
